Bhutan Visa and Permits
Bhutan Visa
(Applicable for all tourists except travelers from India.)
All the tourists traveling to Bhutan require Visa except the travelers from India. It can be availed on arrival, processed through department of immigration Website or through a local tour operator in Bhutan such as Neptune Holidays Bhutan or its international travel agent. No foreign embassies/ organizations issue Bhutan Tourist Visa.
Following documents are required to travel to Bhutan or process a Bhutan Visa or Permit
a. Indian Nationals
- A Valid Indian passport (With a Validity of Minimum 6 months from the date of exit from Bhutan), OR a Voter ID
- For kids who have not attained the age for a voter ID can travel with a Birth certificate in English
- Covid 19 vaccination certificate
- Travel Insurance
- Passport Size Photographs
b. Other Nationals
- A Valid passport (With a Validity of Minimum 6 months from the date of exit from Bhutan)
- Covid 19 vaccination certificate
- Travel Insurance
- Passport Size Photographs
In case the guests are traveling on their own, hotel booking details and a guide is compulsory. All trekking has to be booked through a Tour operator.
All Travelers traveling to countries other than their home country from Bhutan may require a valid passport as per the immigration rules of the country you are traveling to. Please check the Immigration formalities with the concerned authorities accordingly.
